Ring Size Guide

Ring Size Guide

Finding the perfect ring size ensures a comfortable fit and helps your jewelry remain secure throughout the day. At ZevarShevar, we recommend measuring your finger carefully before placing your order, especially when purchasing rings as gifts or choosing styles that cannot be easily resized.

How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home

Method 1: Measure an Existing Ring (Recommended)

If you already own a ring that fits comfortably on the desired finger:

  1. Place the ring on a ruler.
  2. Measure the inside diameter (edge to edge) in millimeters.
  3. Compare your measurement with the size chart below to determine your ring size.

This is the most accurate method for finding your size.

Method 2: Measure Your Finger

You will need:

  • A strip of paper or a piece of string
  • A ruler
  • A pen

Steps

  1. Wrap the paper or string around the base of your finger.
  2. Mark the point where the ends overlap.
  3. Lay the paper flat and measure the length in millimeters.
  4. Compare the measurement with the circumference column in the size chart below.

Do not wrap the strip too tightly. It should fit comfortably around your finger.

Ring Size Chart

US Size India Size Inside Diameter (mm) Finger Circumference (mm)
5 10 15.7 49.3
6 12 16.5 51.8
7 14 17.3 54.4
8 16 18.1 57.0
9 18 18.9 59.5
10 20 19.8 62.1
11 22 20.6 64.6
12 24 21.4 67.2

Helpful Tips for Accurate Measurement

  • Measure your finger at room temperature.
  • Avoid measuring immediately after exercise.
  • Fingers naturally swell during hot weather and shrink in cold temperatures.
  • Measure your finger in the evening, when it is generally at its largest.
  • If your knuckle is significantly larger than the base of your finger, choose a size that comfortably slides over the knuckle while remaining secure.

Between Two Sizes?

If your measurement falls between two sizes, we generally recommend choosing the larger size for a more comfortable fit.

Wide rings (6 mm and above) may feel tighter than narrow bands. For wider designs, consider ordering half a size or one full size larger if you're between sizes.

Choosing the Right Finger

Remember that each finger is different.

A ring that fits perfectly on one hand may not fit the same finger on the opposite hand. Always measure the exact finger on which you intend to wear your ring.

Buying a Ring as a Gift?

If you're purchasing a surprise gift and aren't sure about the size:

  • Borrow a ring your recipient wears on the same finger.
  • Measure its inside diameter.
  • Compare it with the chart above.

If you're still unsure, choosing a slightly larger size is usually the safer option.

A Perfect Fit Matters

A well-fitted ring should slide on comfortably with a gentle twist and offer slight resistance when being removed. The perfect fit should feel secure without causing discomfort.
